Day 34

Reflection

Whenever Jesus met sickness or disability and the person wanted a cure, he reached out to them.
This suggests that God wants us fit and well but he doesn’t just cure, but always asks, “What do you want me to do for you?” It must be our desire as well.

Do you have any physical or mental problems that you are going to ask Jesus to cure? Have faith.

Today’s Prayer

Preparation: Begin by stilling; then dedicating the time of prayer to God and asking God that all you think, feel and imagine are for the glory of God.

Gift:  Ask for what you desire.  Suggestion: To know Jesus more clearly, love him more dearly, and follow him more nearly.

Setting: A Scripture reading to imagine you are in the scene.

As they went out from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
Behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out,
“Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David!”
The multitude rebuked them, telling them that they should be quiet, but they cried out even more, “Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David!”
Jesus stood still and called them, and asked,
“What do you want me to do for you?”
They told him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.”
 Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes;
and immediately their eyes received their sight,
and they followed him.

Conversation: Talk to Jesus in your own words as a friend

Final Prayer: End with a formal prayer such as the Lord’s Prayer/Our Father.
